Asking about education and study paths
Think through courses, interests, and your next step.
STEP 1
List the opportunities you actually have
Write down the programs, exams, scholarships, or institutions you are eligible for and can afford, with their dates. A discussion anchored in real opportunities is more useful than one about every possible field of study.
STEP 2
Separate interest from pressure
Note which goals are your own and which come from family or peers. Being clear about this helps the conversation focus on what you want to build rather than on expectations you may not share.
STEP 3
Pair the reading with research
Check entry requirements, course costs and realistic career routes with the institutions involved. A traditional chart interpretation cannot establish your aptitude or replace academic and career advice.
If a parent is booking on behalf of a student, the student should take part willingly. The session works best when the person studying asks the questions.
